A demigirl (also called a demigal, demiwoman or a demifemale) person is a gender identity describing someone who partially, but not fully, identifies as a woman, girl or otherwise feminine, whatever their assigned gender at birth. They may or may not identify as any other gender in addition to feeling partially a girl or woman.

Demifem (Also called demifemme or demifeminine [2]) is another term for demigirls who don’t feel comfortable with having a gendered term (female, woman, girl; etc.) in their gender label, possibly from being agender, but it doesn’t have to be.

Demigirl can be used to describe someone assigned female at birth who feels less connected or disconnected to that identification, but may or may not experience a significant enough dissociation to create real physical discomfort or dysphoria. Demigirl can also describe someone assigned male at birth who is transfeminine but not wholly binary-identified, so that they feel more strongly associated with “female” than “male,” socially or physically, but not strongly enough to want to identify as as a woman.

Demigirls may also identify as demigender, non-binary and/or transgender and can be any age. Demigirl comes from "demi" meaning half in french. The male counterpart is demiguy.

A Demigirl may simply identify as mostly feminine, and then partially with another gender including transgender, bigender, agender, or something else.

Some demigirls identify as cisgender, others identify as transgender.
